Demon Bendy
thingiverse
I'm thrilled that my nephew, who's just 7 years old, drew a picture of what he wanted me to create. Unfortunately, creating things isn't exactly my strong suit. So, we looked up pictures together and discovered what I thought was a Demon Bendy with ink running down his face - it turned out to be a "backpack hanger". I hoped to find something on Thingiverse that would help, but all I could find were the regular Bendy and the Beast Bendy (I'm learning so much about the world of Bendy!). I brought LarryOmalley's design into Tinkercad and got tinkering. First, I created a sphere and found an image of Demon Bendy online - then I made holes everywhere the ink ran down his face to get a decent representation of what I was seeing on the image. Next, I layered that ink spill sphere over the head of the Bendy and added a loop at the top to create the backpack hanger part. After printing, the arms were weak and broke off, so I took the file into Meshmixer and tinkered some more. I found a way to bend the arms slightly and attach the thumbs to the body - this helped strengthen the whole thing. That's when I created the LOOP.stl file. I included another file without the loop, but that was from before I used Meshmixer, so the arms are straight like the original design. The Chain and hook were printed from other files I found on Thingiverse - here they are: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2275822 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:113111. As it turned out, I was able to set the clip into the Chain as it printed, just like the description said to do with a key. The other end of the hook I cut open and glued back in place around the Loop on Demon Bendy. My paint job isn't perfect, but I think it does the trick.
