Demo Cube
thingiverse
I created this design to highlight the distinction between infill and perimeters plus bottom/top layers. I've included a sample Simplify3D factory file as a starting point for anyone looking to replicate it. The shell is 1.8mm thick, optimized for my specific printed wall thickness of .9mm. To bring this design to life, print the top/bottom layers without infill or support structures. The inner section touches the shell and requires infill only. You may need to expand the infill process slightly in the X/Y axis to ensure it makes contact with the shell when printed. After printing, the infill might have some horizontal strands that will need trimming with a knife. This design was originally printed using a Mosaic Palette+ in black and white.
