Demo Coin Feeder (Drum Style)This is a demonstration for a drum-style coin feeder that separates the coins it feeds to the slide.Basically, it picks up coins in the holes in the drum. These coins may stack. As soon as they pass over the hole in the 12 o'clock position, the coin stack drops onto the slide. As the depth of the hole in the slide is less than two coin thicknesses, the revolving drum then brushes extra coins off the bottom coin so that only one coin remains, which then continues on the slide.Intended sense of drum revolution is opposite to slide direction.It's intended as a feeder for this sorter: https://www.printables.com/model/53272-improved-auto-coin-sorterA prototype jury-rigged to the sorter worked quite nicely, reliably and fast, but I haven't finished the design, which still requires making sorter and feeder modular units that somehow share a common yet-to-be-designed chassis.Category: Organization
