Deluxe Coffee Filter Face Mask

I'm glad you're here! I've made two printable templates for a unique face mask project. One is for cutting out coffee filters or HEPA filters - please be aware that HEPA filters may contain fiberglass, which can be hazardous if inhaled as a face mask. To create the fabric part of this mask, I used softshell material with a water-resistant outer layer and a soft inner layer. This dense fabric requires air holes for proper ventilation. Behind these holes, you'll place your coffee filter or HEPA filter. For the coffee filter portion, I employed two layers, but be sure to only make small holes in the middle of each layer - not on the outside. You can print "Part 1" inside and "Parts 2-6" on the outer layer for a more aesthetic look. I'm unsure about this mask's effectiveness against bacteria or viruses, but I think it looks better than a single coffee filter. The pores in paper coffee filters are approximately 10µm, which is suitable for filtering dust and pollen. For the membrane component (the pink printed part), I recommend using TPU. When you inhale, the membrane closes the mask, allowing only filtered air to enter. Exhaling causes the membrane to open, releasing used air. To ensure proper functionality, turn the ventile so that "Part 6" with the closed side faces forward and the open side is at the back. I hope you enjoy wearing this unique face mask!
