DeltaTower Extruder Spacer
thingiverse
When I attempted to print Dutch Flex45 Filament, I found that between the extruder push-wheel and the bowden entrance was an unsuitable gap, a staggering 5mm wide - clearly too much for the material to navigate effectively, as it ended up "crawling" out of there instead of flowing smoothly into the bowden, despite its reputation for being highly flexible. Consequently, I quickly conceived a simple solution in the form of a custom spacer that could bridge this gap and accurately guide the filament into the bowden, restoring optimal performance. This essential accessory must be placed manually every time the extruder is closed, therefore don't expect an overly convenient experience; however, you may possibly glue it into position to minimize hassle. Instructions are relatively straightforward - merely print the provided design :) To produce a high-quality spacer, I employed a 0.1mm layer height. Due to its petite dimensions, you can opt for 100% infill without encountering any difficulties. It's also advisable to rotate the part prior to printing to ensure it lays flat on the build platform.
