I have custom-designed PVC pipe hubs for my spools on my Solidoodle 3 printer. Unfortunately, these unique designs prevent them from fitting seamlessly onto the standard Deltaprintr laser-cut spool holder. As an added complication, the filament is susceptible to slipping off the side of the spool, resulting in significant problems with print quality. Fortunately, utilizing tension nut filament guides helps mitigate this issue entirely. UPDATE: V2 versions feature a cross section that is remarkably shallow compared to the plywood material used, which allows for an M3 bolt to be driven into place from below through a sturdy plate or large washer for added security. By contrast, earlier versions (V1) merely sit loosely on top and can potentially shift slightly. To assemble this print accurately, you'll likely require support materials surrounding the central cross piece. Alternatively, experimenting with printing the design upside down might also be feasible; however, I've yet to personally try this approach, so your results may vary!
