Delta Rigid Heated Bed Mount

This is a custom bed mount designed specifically for my FolgerTech Kossel Rev B printer. The factory mounts provided with the printer were made of acrylic, but they had too much play in them for my liking. I also tried using springs to level the bed, but they introduced too much movement and instability. I decided to revisit my printer's build and realized that a solid, accurate foundation would eliminate the need for springs if it was already very close to being level and flat from the start. To achieve this, I began using an auto-leveling probe created from the spare endstop that came with my printer. The combination of a rigid bed and automatic leveling has significantly improved both print quality and overall efficiency. One major issue I faced when using springs under the bed was that whenever I removed the printer, the bed would shift excessively, making it impossible to trust its levelness. Before each print, I had to double-check that none of the springs were binding up. This custom mount is designed for my 220mm heated bed, which features six mounting holes at a diameter of 210mm and centers spaced 105mm apart. To minimize surface contact with the heated bed, I created short standoffs on the mount. Initially, I printed this mount using PLA without any issues, and more recently, I've been printing ABS at bed temperatures of 110C for extended periods without observing any deformation.
