Delta Enclosure / Tent
thingiverse
Dust is a formidable foe for every printer, and that's why I built a Delta Design enclosure around my AnyCubic Kossel linear PLUS. The frame consists of 12mm round rods - aluminum or wood doesn't matter, it's just a question of budget. Six identical components, "Delta Einhausung.stl," make up the bulk of the assembly, and I think it should be easy to put together. I attached velcro tape to the outside of the plastic parts, then wrapped a 0.8mm thick transparent PVC foil around the exterior, securing it with velcro tape. A 5mm plexiglass cover sits atop the print parts, providing enough stability to hold items securely - I glued it in place with transparent silicone. I trimmed the PVC foil on the front so that it can be rolled up like a tent, and secured it with velcro. Since my delta printer stands tall (my filament roll is stacked high), the housing had to follow suit, resulting in a somewhat wobbly construction. To stabilize it, I designed the "Split 1-6.stl" parts, which screw into place at half height using M3 screws and nuts. Filing grooves into the round rods ensured that the middle reinforcement stays put. This keeps everything from shifting out of position. Further pictures will be added later.
