Delta Effector Light Strip Fixture

I'm not sure if this design will work for other configurations because I couldn't find many designs tailored to my FLSUN Delta setup with the effector positioned on the positive side of the carriage. This enclosure was designed to keep a clear view of the filament while it's being extruded out of the nozzle, without obstructing any range of motion. The design takes into account potential collisions with the enclosure, proud bed screws, belts, rod ends, and other components that could interfere with movement. I wanted to incorporate the LED strips I already had on hand, which are available at a low cost from Amazon - just $2 per unit. This design uses 4" of LEDs total, providing ample illumination for the printing area. To power the LED strip, I tapped into the always-on fan and did a temporary JST connector splice that can be easily removed if needed. Since I primarily print with ABS plastic, I removed the cooling fan and duct from the original design to optimize airflow and minimize heat buildup. Here's an image of the original 6" design, which used more LEDs but obstructed some viewing angles. To test its durability, I subjected it to a series of stress tests by heating the nozzle and bed to extreme temperatures while leaving it on continuously for an entire day - with disappointing results: three out of nine LED lights had failed. Further investigation revealed that my power supply was set to 12.5 Volts, which exceeded the recommended limit and led to overheating. I suspect this revised design will perform better, as I've reduced the voltage output to 12V and modified the configuration to minimize heat retention. Additionally, any movement during printing should help dissipate hot air away from the area.
