thingiverse
This is a remix of a previous delta effector that had been utilized from the impressive work on Duet and auto-calibration done by DC42 for delta printers. Two versions of this design are available: 1. Threaded inserts for using M3 machine screws (links below) 2. Plastic screws for fasteners Features include: Mount for Mini differential IR sensor for auto-calibration of delta printers Mount for 2x 40mm part cooling fans Mount for E3D Heatsink 40mm coil cooling fan Brass threaded inserts to prevent thread wear and allow for tightly fastened fasteners To build this design, the following components are required: Various M3 SHCS or other machine screws for the threaded inserts or Plastic screws found in inkjet printers and other hardware Three 40mm cooling fans (experience with these 3D fans was good but not with 30mm ones) Threaded Inserts can be sourced from McMaster (install with a soldering iron, exercise caution to avoid burns) Recommended items include: E3d v6 heatsink silicone sock for stable hotend temperature performance Note: Recalibrate PID values in your heater control loop when installing the silicone heater sock Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker Original Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 60% Notes: PLA or ABS Use correct infill overlap/backslash compensation to ensure strong prints. Large file size may cause slicer issues, but it will eventually work. This design was created with extensive experience in Solidworks 2016.
