I'm making a custom Direct extruder for my Delta 3D printer, and it fits perfectly on the original Effector without needing any manual adjustments. The reason is simple - the design includes integrated plugs that center the extruder automatically. I've chosen to use a NEMA 17 stepper motor rated at 0.7 amps because it's extremely compact while still offering plenty of power. This avoids the problem often associated with longer stepper motors and the arms that come with them. To assemble this Direct Extruder, I used parts from the MK8 extruder, which are widely available online. Specifically, I drew inspiration from this model: [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53125](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53125) For those interested in trying out my custom design, I recommend downloading the latest version, especially for version V1 which features a convenient backspace adjustment for the NEMA stepper motor. In later iterations like V2, you'll find additional features such as built-in filament support and screw hole adjustments that have proven to work incredibly well.
