Delta Devil
thingiverse
This project is currently under development and not yet ready for use. It was inspired by the Horton Wing HO-229 design, with similarities in wing profile. The estimated wingspan is approximately 1.8 meters and length around 90 centimeters. My goal is to have the prototype airborne before 2020. Electric speed controllers are mounted upside down within the air duct, while batteries are air-cooled without any access doors underneath the wing. The turbine measures about 90mm in diameter and provides 6-10kg of thrust. I plan to utilize two 7s batteries in series with a 15C rating at 22amps for power. There is also room on board for a GPS, flight computer, mission controller, and long-range radio. Additionally, the craft features two large cargo compartments. I require a more substantial printer to support this project's needs. I am also sharing the source code in OpenSCAD for anyone interested in understanding my design process. The code has been updated with numerous fine-tunings. Visual references such as pictures can provide further insight into the project's specifics.
