Delta Cup Arm End for 10/8 Carbon Fiber tube
thingiverse
I need a massive Delta Printer. Buying the Seemecnc Printer at $4000+ is out of my budget. I have a stockpile of parts, including Linear Rails from an old Kossel Build, so I decided to build a large delta printer myself for fun and affordability. With two Seemecnc Printers, using interchangeable parts would be beneficial. Pictured are reverse-engineered delta ball ends attached to 500mm 10OD x 8ID carbon fiber tubes with JB Weld plastic epoxy. The aluminum effector body from 713 maker allows me to use a Duet-E3D effector board. The MGM carriage is from the Seemecnc open-source SolidWorks file, modified in Fusion 360. Designing and printing these ball arms was extremely challenging. It took 18 iterations in Fusion to achieve an acceptable product, with only two out of every six printed parts being usable. Tolerances were incredibly tight; this STL may or may not work for you.
