Delta cooler 1.2
thingiverse
The moment I bought my HE3D K280, a RepRap style delta printer, and successfully assembled it, I quickly realized that my prints were missing some essential accessories. For my initial batch of prints, I used PLA, but I soon discovered that my setup lacked a crucial component: print cooling. Despite trying to use the stock 40mm fans, I was unable to make them work. That's when I decided to design and print my own fan duct. Thingiverse helped me find a suitable model for my printer, but after some time, the duct began to twist due to heat damage from direct contact with the heat sink via screws. This prompted me to create my own custom duct tailored specifically to the HE3D K280 delta printer. This filament cooler consists of three parts: a fan duct, a holder, and a needles set. Although I designed it for my printer, I believe that the model can be adapted for most delta printers with minimal adjustments or possibly none at all. Recommendation: I recommend using ABS (or other high-melt plastics) for this print, along with a small nozzle diameter of 0.2mm. Enabling support is also essential. I used Slic3r to slice the model, but you can choose any slicer program that suits your needs. For those interested in my Slic3r settings, they are available in the File section. Give this design a try and let me know if there's room for improvement. Thank you for considering my creation.
