The Delta Case is my take on a 3D printed gasket-ish mount case for the Reviung41 (designed by gtips) based on the original case files on github. Information about the keyboard, pcb, and plate files can be found here: https://github.com/gtips/reviung/tree/master/reviung41 Note: While the case is 3D printed, the top plate is not. This design requires the standard top plate per the files on github, as well as the standard spec M2 standoffs. Case height offset can be adjusted with different length standoffs or by scaling the thickness of the gaskets. Different length screws may be required. I am marking this project as WIP because I may revisit to design a different top plate and fill in any gaps. I like a uniform top, this was made to accommodate my existing plate. Delta Case BOM: 1x Case Full (or 1x each Case Right and Case Left) 2x Gasket Outer 1x Gasket Inner 1x Delta Badge 1x MCU Cover (with or without encoder hole) 1x Top Plate Holes Cover (not required, preference item) 2x 7ish Deg Foot (gives roughly a 7 degree typing angle) 5x M2x6 screws (for case) 2x M2x12 screws (for case through feet) 3x M2x10 screws (for mcu cover) 4x Bumpons for feet (I use 3M electronics bumpons) 7x M2 standoffs (standard from reviung41 github build) CAN'T PRINT TPU? DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! If you print the gaskets in standard PLA, assembly is the same and the case will act as a normal tray mount. USB CONNECTOR NOTE: Due to the geometry and design of the Reviung41 PCB, there is a very small amount of room for the connector. This case only works with lower profile usb connectors. I have not yet tried a 90 degree cable because I don't have one, but I'd imagine that would do the trick. Print Settings Printer Brand: Creality Printer: Ender 3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 20% Gyroid Filament: Polymaker PolyTerra PLA Marble Slate Gray (but it's actually teal, bad name) Notes: All parts were designed to print with a .4mm nozzle. All parts were printed on an Ender 3 S1. Majority of my print was done with the Polymaker PolyTerra PLA. The White Marble filament is Ziro Z-Marble PLA filament. No supports are needed, I had no problem bridging the USB connector hole and the delta badge relief, they are relatively small bridges. All PLA components were printed with 3 walls, 3 top/bottom layers, and 20% gyroid infill. The gaskets were printed with Overture TPU, 2 walls and 2 top/bottom layers, 30% gyroid infill. Adjust depending how stiff/soft you want them. TPU is not required for these parts, they can be printed in PLA and the case will behave as a normal tray mount. Post-Printing Post Processing / Assembly: PRE-ASSEMBLE THE PLATE AND PCB WITH SWITCHES BEFORE INSTALLING IN CASE. Case: Case Full is a full model of the case. Case Right and Case Left are a split version made to fit on the Ender 3. If using the split case files, use pieces of 1.75mm filament to join the two halves. I test fit the components together with the filament pins, then separated and repeated the process bonding with superglue. Be sure not to use too much to avoid excess seeping out of the seam. Delta Badge: Use a small amount of super glue to install badge into the bottom side of the case. Glue gaskets into position. If you did not use TPU, PLA is fine and will act as a normal tray mount. MCU Cover: install MCU cover on top plate/pcb assembly using 3 M2x10 screws BEFORE you put the plate/pcb into the case. I am using an alps EC11N1520401 rotary encoder soldered into the extra pins available on my elite-c mcu. Excess length of the feet and pins have been trimmed to fit under the mcu cover. Install the plate/pcb assembly into the case using M2 standoffs and M2 screws. Install bumpons in recessed area. If desired, the Top Plate Holes Cover is designed to press fit into the existing decorative hole pattern on the standard top plate. Category: Electronics
