Delta Arm Dampeners - Kossel Mini & More
thingiverse
UPDATE: I've added various dampeners for diverse arm spacing needs in other Delta setups, but nothing tailored specifically to the Kossel Mini. The rod diameter remains unchanged; however, please request any specific rod diameters if they're required. These arm dampeners are designed for the Kossel Mini and can be easily printed, then snapped onto the arms to reduce chatter. They apply a gentle tension on the arms, limiting the free movement of the ball-joints that causes chatter during printing. To provide this tension force, they were undersized by 3.4mm. I created these dampeners after frequently replacing my elastic-band dampeners and wanting one that didn't require additional parts that couldn't be printed. I've printed mine in T-glase, but they should work with other materials like PLA as well. So far, mine haven't stretched beyond their elastic limit; however, I'm uncertain about how they'll be affected by creep over time or the effects of heat from a heated bed. To print these dampeners, use 100% infill, though you can probably get away with less than 100% infill. There are two ear-rafts to aid in bed adhesion that should be removed once printed.
