Delta Arm Alignment Plate
thingiverse
After manufacturing the plastic ball joints to replace the original ones on my FLSun, I had to create an alignment jig. I printed two plates, secured them to a bench or a piece of wood, and set the pins so they were exactly 214mm apart from pin one to pin six. For my FLSun, this is the precise distance required. Next, I applied some glue inside the socket on the plastic eyes, then slid the carbon fiber rod into place while the glue was still wet. With the arm in the jig, I pushed the eyes over the pins poking up and secured them snugly. After allowing the glue to dry completely, I removed the assembly. To ensure easy removal later on, I recommend using a 2-pot epoxy instead of traditional glue. This way, if you need to remove the eyes, you can apply some heat and gently pull them off.
