Delta-7 Aethersprite
thingiverse
This is a Jedi starfighter flown by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The scale model comes out at approximately 6 inches in length once printed at full size. Some details are missing, such as laser cannons and an astromech droid unit. I can add these if requested, but I chose not to include them because certain features might not print well, particularly the astromech's photoreceptors and other small details. This model was printed on a Lulzbot Mini using ABS from Village Plastics, then painted with acrylics. The original model comes from Sketchup's 3D Warehouse, but I significantly modified the mesh to make it "airtight" and printable. I'm not sure who to give credit to because there are multiple versions available on the 3D Warehouse, and I don't know which one is the original. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 mm Infill: 10% Notes: This model prints well on a Lulzbot Mini with ABS from Village Plastics. The resolution is very high, and I was able to conceal the layering effect with acrylic paint after some light sanding. Post-Printing: This model has 2 mm holes in both bottom surfaces, allowing toothpicks to be inserted during assembly to add strength to the joint between the two parts.
