Delta 6" Professional Joiner Depth Setting Replacement Knob
cults3d
Do you own a Delta 6" Professional Joiner? Did you recently relocate? During the move, did the movers damage the joiner depth setting knob? If you answered yes to all the questions, then this device is for you! Actually, my spouse and I recently relocated, the movers damaged the depth setting knob on my Delta 6" Professional Joiner, and I designed and 3D printed this replacement. The photograph shows the old broken knob, and the 3D printed replacement installed on the joiner (with the initials "GLZ"). I printed the prototype at high speed (150%), and at .2mm layer height with 10% infill, so it appears a little rough, but it works perfectly. I had planned on printing the final version at standard speed, .2mm layer height with 100% infill, but the prototype worked just fine. I seriously doubt anyone will download or even print this thing, but I posted it to show that if a 3D printer is good enough for making certain replacement parts for a professional woodworking machine, who knows what's next? I can imagine in the future replacement parts are only a click away. Designed using Sketchup Make 2015, and printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 using Makerware 2.3.3.42 "Standard" Settings (.2mm layer height, 2 shells, 10% infill).
