Here is my brand new Delorean, uniquely designed for 3D printing on a scale one-eighth that of the EagleMoss version. This Delorean stands out as the only one in the world with countless exclusive details created specifically for 3D printing. Exceptional quality was achieved through rigorous research over several months to capture accurate photos of the real-life Delorean from the iconic film Back to the Future part 1 - the opening scene set at TWIN PINES MALL precisely. Every detail was meticulously modeled with exceptional attention to detail. Over 500 unique parts were mounted or glued in (126 STL Files) ensuring an authentic representation of this movie classic. A comprehensive and precise assembly manual was created, including more than 280 illustrations to facilitate understanding, packaged in a 44-page pdf file. The installation instructions describe how the LEDs are installed, with arduino code also included for effortless integration. Examine the accompanying pictures and video - with patience and practice, you too can achieve similar results! Only a few challenging parts such as windows, cables, LEDs, and screws cannot be printed due to their complex design, but obtaining them is easy. A cutting plan is provided to enable creation of non-printable elements. Numerous photographs of the real, 3D-printed pieces are also included for your reference. To achieve optimal results, a printer with a minimum bed size of 210mm x 200mm and a height of 200mm is required. However, it's still possible to print even on a smaller scale by splitting the three larger components into manageable parts. Please note that a recommended layer thickness of 0.15mm is crucial for achieving accurate prints. For an authentic finish, I recommend using a spray gun with Silver, TAMIYA clear coats (orange, red, green, and yellow), as well as interior XF82 by Tamiya, along with matte black and shiny black paint. The required materials are approximately 1.5kg of PLA in grey color, and about 100g of PLA in a clear finish from PolySmooth Polymaker, which is the best option available. When painting, please remember to sand all parts before application to avoid ruining fine details. Additionally, be aware that reducing part size can lead to loss of intricate details; thus, it's recommended against doing so. If you encounter issues with your slicer software, I recommend using PrusaSlicer2 (free), which is the exact slicer software used in testing these models.
