DeLorean BackToFuture RC Car w/ Arduino - 3DRacers
pinshape
You can easily print and build your own RC Car, just like with OpenR/C. I've made this project fully open source, so be sure to check out the sources and share with others. Printing should be simple even with RepRaps, but keep in mind that you'll need Flex-like filament for the tires. To learn more about 3DRacers, visit www.3dracers.com. This is a 3D printed racing game based on Arduino and controlled by a free smartphone App. You can find detailed information at http://www.3dracers.com. Here are some dynamic models that you can drive with the electronics and app: DeLorean (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1579653), Corvette (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:599769), Muscle Car (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:706390). For static models, which don't require any electronics, you can choose from Mad Max (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:888217), Buggy (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:684734), Tank (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:663325), Car Armageddon (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:660321), or DeLorean (static) (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:644153). For printing, use a RepRap Printer with the following settings: Prusa I3 printer brand, no rafts, no supports, 0.2mm resolution, and 20% infill. Make sure to adjust the nozzle size to 0.4mm and layer height to 0.2mm (or optionally 0.1mm for the Hood part). For the tires, you'll need Flex-like filament.
