Delmar Mini Blind Mounting Bracket
thingiverse
This is a replacement mounting bracket designed specifically for Delmar mini blinds, although it may also be compatible with other brands. The bracket is commonly referred to as an invisible or hidden bracket because it slides discreetly behind the blind and doesn't protrude once installed. There are various versions of this bracket available online, each costing $10 or more per unit. I misplaced one of my original brackets, so I decided to create a replacement by printing one myself using 3D technology. I had the original metal bracket as a reference point to copy from. After several hours of experimentation and trial-and-error, I successfully created a bracket that fits perfectly. To install the printed bracket, begin by angling the top of the blind slightly to fit between the top and tap in the middle of the bracket. Gently push it into place, ensuring that the top of the bracket is securely inserted into the groove on top of the blind. This is crucial because the weight of the blind relies heavily on this engagement. Two sunken holes will be visible where you need to insert the screws. Typically, two brackets are required, but additional ones may be necessary for longer or heavier blinds. Please note that the dimensions of the 3D-printed bracket may not be identical to those of the original metal bracket, although it should still function effectively. The provided images of the original brackets serve as a reference point only. I printed this replacement bracket using my PowerSpec Ultra 3D printer. It required 2.3 meters of 1.75mm filament and approximately 45 minutes to complete.
