IntroductionDell XPS 9700 tends to get hot when gaming, wanted some easy to carry feet to improve air circulation when needed. This part elevates the back of the laptop by ~20°If you found this useful, feel free to buy me a coffee :)Happy Printing!Installation:With laptop lid closed down, hook feet into exhaust vents and rotate under laptop. I recommend using the second to last vent slots to avoid the hinge.Surface Grips (Optional, v3.0 Only):Insert 1.75mm TPU filament into the ‘filament cut guide’.Turn the part upside down and carefully use a blade to cut the filament flush with part.Pull out cut piece of filament from the guide and glue into place in the 8mm slots provided below the part.  *Tip: Lift front of laptop slightly when pulling towards you. This will prevent the part from pivoting and potentially breaking. Useful if printed in full TPU or TPU grips used. Material: ASA, ABS or material with a higher Tg value. PLA (image below) may deform from exhaust temperature.TPU (Shore 95A) also works well. Provides great grip and protection for surfaces. Better option for travel bag to prevent damage (scratches) to other devices. Update Log 14 August 2024 (Version 3.0)Added 8mm slots beneath part for optional TPU grips.No need to print grips, simply cut 1.75mm TPU filament to size (8mm) and glue into place. This version also provides a guide hole where TPU filament can be inserted to be quickly cut to correct size. 9 August 2024 (Version 2.0)Version 1.0 (image left) had an issue where part would pivot around its base when the laptop is pulled forward, putting pressure on the clips. Version 2.0 (image right) addresses this by providing a longer base with a chamfered edge.Step files now included. *Next update: TPU grips to reduce surface scaring.
