I discovered that Dell's Thunderbolt Dock 3 has some serious ergonomic issues when used with their laptops. Setting it up on a desk is a real challenge, making it hard to route the wiring and easily hook up or remove my laptop without leaving it permanently on my desk - which kind of defeats the purpose of having a docking station in the first place. To overcome this problem, I'm designing a vertical mount that will securely hold the dock. My plan is to attach it firmly to one side of my desk using screws. Future updates will include adding slots and recesses for screws and washers to make assembly even easier.
