Dell R610 Server Faceplate/Bezel and ears
thingiverse
Wanted a matching bezel / faceplate for my second R610 but didn't have the mounting ears or bezel. Created CAD models from original parts on my other server to make these custom pieces. The ears are exact replicas of the originals and the OEM bezel fits perfectly into place. The Bezel is almost an identical match for the Dell original, with a more angular design, but the OEM retainers don't fit snugly. I'm not sure if replacement retainers would work in the OEM Bezel either. The Bezel itself lacks the cut-out for the lock and release mechanism. When printing the retainers, it was such a good friction fit that I didn't think they were necessary anyway - the lock is pretty much pointless when the bezel is made of plastic! If someone wants an OEM-style release arm, I might be willing to revisit this design. For now, though, this suits my needs just fine. Printed the Bezel in two parts and glued them together, leaving a small seam that doesn't bother me at all.
