Dell Precision T3600 NAS Enclosure
thingiverse
I've designed a budget-friendly NAS enclosure to accommodate my Dell t3600 workstation, which features a full-size BTX motherboard. This enclosure is specifically engineered to house the workstation with its three hard drives, one GPU ATI Firepro W5000, and front panel, all while utilizing only one case fan attached to the side panel next to the power supply. To eliminate BIOS fan error messages, I've had to wire the blue and yellow signal wires from one internal fan to two other fan sockets. The enclosure requires three plexiglass panels and a variety of M3 screws and nuts that I sourced from eBay. Here are the specific dimensions for each panel: * Top Panel: 28cm in length, 31.5cm in width, and 3mm thick * Large Side Panel: 31.5cm in length, 19.5cm in width, and 3mm thick * Small Side Panel: 16.8cm in length, 19.5cm in width, and 3mm thick The enclosure itself measures 28.5cm high, 35.5cm deep, and 32cm wide. As for internal temperatures, I've observed the following averages: * Hard drives: 37-40°C * Xenon 6-core CPU: 45-67°C To construct this enclosure, I used two 1kg spools of filament.
