Most Dell monitors feature a recessed VESA mounting point that can cause problems for some monitor stands. These stands often come with brackets that support multiple hole patterns, including 100mm square (MIS-D) and 200x100mm (MIS-E) VESA, which don't fit snugly into the recess. This issue can be easily resolved by using a simple stand-off. This small device is inserted into the recess to allow the mounting bracket to sit flush with the back of the monitor when tension is applied to the screws on the right-hand side of the case. Since no weight is involved, the stand-off doesn't need to be extremely strong. Its primary function is to withstand the pressure from the screws, ensuring a secure and stable fit.
