I'm not surprised you're not interested in the full story behind this; it's a long and dull tale. In the end, I had to buy a docking bracket, but considering it's just a small piece of plastic (or maybe some magnesium alloy?), the price is completely outrageous. So, I decided to make one myself.\r\nYou can believe me or not, but it took only a few hours in TinkerCad, using the original part as a reference for measurements and a mechanical caliper.\r\nThe result is virtually identical to the original. Of course, you can't compare its mechanical strength, but for my purposes, it's more than sufficient - my laptop sits perfectly in the docking station, and I couldn't be happier.
