I often have to juggle between a keyboard, a graphics tablet, and sometimes an iPad when working on something in 53's Paper app or similar tools. This means constantly switching between devices, which can be frustrating. In the past, I resorted to propping up the keyboard next to the printer, but this was time-consuming since I still had to use the board for shortcuts occasionally. I'm considering getting a number pad for that or exploring other custom options. This stand won't eliminate the hassle of using shortcut keys, unless you glue it to your desk or create a modified version with spaces for magnets underneath – both solutions receive my sympathy and blessing respectively. However, the stand will prevent the keyboard from sliding down and disrupting your workflow while trying to stay out of the way. Initially, I envisioned this stand allowing you to position the keyboard upright, but this might not be the best option if your Dell keyboard has a built-in number pad. Fortunately, due to the keys being evenly spaced around the edge, you can balance it horizontally on one or two and tuck it under your monitor instead. Primarily, I created this stand as an excuse to become more familiar with Sketchup, a program that typically exasperates me. I attribute my frustration to being spoiled by more user-friendly programs like Tinkercad, which has made me impatient with less accommodating ones.
