I often have to juggle between a keyboard and a graphics tablet because I'm low on desk space, and sometimes an iPad when I'm creating something in Paper or similar apps. In the past, this meant propping up my keyboard next to the printer, which was a real hassle since I still had to use the board for shortcuts - I'll have to look into getting a number pad or some other custom option. This stand won't make using shortcut keys any less of a challenge (unless you glue it to your desk, or if someone remixes it to have spaces underneath for magnets - you have my sympathy for the former and my blessing for the latter). However, it will prevent my keyboard from sliding down into whatever I'm working on while it's supposed to be out of the way. I had envisioned this stand letting me prop up my keyboard upright, but this might not be the best option unless your specific Dell keyboard doesn't have a number pad. Fortunately, thanks to the keys being evenly spaced all around, you can balance it horizontally on one edge or two and tuck it under your monitor. This was mainly an excuse to get used to Sketchup - a program that usually frustrates me to no end. I blame myself for being too spoiled by hand-holding programs like Tinkercad and subsequently impatient with ones that don't hold my hand.
