This is my first creation so feedback would be appreciated. My mother-in-law's husband broke a power button in his Dell Inspiron 17R N7010 laptop, and this part is no longer available separately - it's sold only with the entire palmrest assembly. So I made one from scratch. The original button is securely welded to the palmrest, so you'll need to carefully remove it using a soldering iron heated to approximately 150 degrees Celsius. I employed the same technique to weld the new button back in place. If you prefer not to use this method, you can opt for glue instead. There's enough space between the pins for it to hold securely. Note: Be aware that there is no physical pin that activates the power button on the circuit board. Instead, you'll need to create one using a soldering iron or a small droplet of glue pressed into place from the opposite side where a circular extrusion can be found. You'll notice this area easily enough. Using this approach allows for 3D printing without any supporting structures and works perfectly fine.
