This CPU blower reducer duct is specifically designed for the Dell Dimension 4600C to ensure all hot CPU exhaust air leaves the case without recirculating inside and causing overheating problems. The Dimension 4600C and other compact SFF Dell models from this era were plagued by severe overheating issues due to flawed case design combined with Pentium 4 processors that ran extremely hot. By installing this duct, along with reversing the PSU fan so it draws cool air from the rear of the computer, internal temperatures are significantly reduced, and both crashing and rebooting caused by heat are eliminated.
