Dell D3100 dockingstation mount

I spend my vacation tidying up my office and crafting a custom desk. I needed to relocate the docking station, keeping it accessible while clearing clutter, so I decided to integrate it into the board between the desk and a shelf behind the desk. To achieve this, I designed two versions: one with the docking station mounted at the top and another with it situated at the bottom. Please note that you only need to print one set of files – a left-hand version and its corresponding right-hand counterpart. Initially, I opted for the top-mounted design, but as soon as I installed it, I realized that occasionally removing the shelf would be necessary to run new cables behind it. This realization prompted me to create an alternative version, where the docking station is mounted in the board below instead. This revised design allows me to remove the shelf without first disconnecting the docking station, making my workspace more efficient. The board on which I mounted the docking station measures 27mm thick; however, the mounts should be adaptable for boards of varying thicknesses. Upon inspection, it appears that Dell offers multiple docking stations that might fit this mount. Given their dimensions – a depth of 77mm and a height of 30 mm – the brackets should be compatible with similar docking stations.
