Dell Amplifier Enclosure for ZYLUX A425 Speaker System

thingiverse

Someone gave me a Dell ZYLUX (A425) speaker system that included two amplified wide range speakers and an amplified bass speaker. I'm using it with my Kano jukebox, but the wide range speakers were blown and sounded like absolute rubbish. I wanted to use the system, so rather than trying to locate the same sized speakers to go in the enclosures, I decided to make the system a little more modular since I had a set of Sony surround speakers laying around that I thought might sound fantastic. I took the amplifier/control module from the Dell satellite enclosure and designed this enclosure for it. The control wire to the bass speaker comes out along with the wire for one speaker. The other speaker is brought out via a phono jack. Not only does that allow me to use any speakers with the system, but it also makes the wiring a whole lot easier to manage. Printed in the orientation presented, no supports are needed. You'll also need four short m3 screws (anywhere from 5 to 10mm long) to attach the lid, a phono jack, a phono plug and a length of wire to reach the second speaker. If the speakers you're using don't have spring connectors, you'll also need matching connectors for them. **Follow Me** *Due to either a Thingiverse bug or (more likely) shadowbanning, my models no longer show up under the [Newest] listings.
