It's a high-quality low-poly 3D model of the Dell Alienware 17 used in various fields like 3D graphics, including game development, advertising, interior design, motion picture art, and visualization. The model was made from ortho-photos of an actual notebook, ensuring all design details are recreated authentically. The model is easy to use because it's composed of two meshes and has two materials - top and bottom - which saves system resources. Regardless of the renderer used, the model looks realistic due to its high-resolution photo-textures. A carefully designed topology, combined with detailed textures, allows for a minimum amount of polygons while achieving maximum quality, even in close-ups. Advanced realism is further enhanced by the use of additional textures: Specular, Glossiness, Bump, and Emission for luminous elements like screens and indicators. To achieve the best bump depth, a Bump Multiplier setting of 0.1 to 0.2 was used in Maya Software materials or V-Ray MTL materials. The Specular and Glossiness maps create various reflective and dispersing effects on different areas of the model, giving it the appearance of multiple materials. A total of ten main textures were created with a resolution of 4096 pixels per square, in .png format, as well as original texture files in .PSD format available in the archive. The display's closing/opening is animated through simple rotation. This model was created using the Maya 2009 3D program and comes in real-world scale in centimeters with all parts correctly grouped and named. An adjusted render-scene is included, created in the Maya 2014 program with a V-Ray 2.40 renderer plug-in. The scene opens correctly in earlier versions of Maya up to 2012 using V-Ray 2.0, as it's saved in .ma format. This render-scene features five V-Ray Rect Light + reflectors and assigns the V-Ray MTL material to the model. Keys for model animation and Render Camera positions relevant to preview images are set on the Timeline, but these can be deleted if not needed. To use the model with other 3D programs, scenes are available in .fbx, .obj, .DAE, and .max (2010 version) formats. Note: This low-poly model is not designed for smoothing modifiers and should only be used accordingly.
