The Geetech Prusa I3 Model B printer accommodates a single AAA battery, providing ample capacity and affordability. This upgrade serves to optimize the power supply for effortless performance. Additional images will be incorporated soon. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Geetech Prusa I3 Model B Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Not required Resolution: 0.1 micron Infill: 35% Notes: To ensure a snug fit, scale the case by 1.03 percent and the cap by 1.02 percent for optimal friction. Post-Printing The AAA battery compartment is designed for minimal wiring. A groove within the threads accommodates a wire that wraps around it, facilitating contact between the pen's negative node and the wire. The wire exits through the hole and follows the groove to the cap, which has a corresponding opening for the wire to connect with the negative side of the AAA battery. To maintain consistent contact, I coiled the wire into a spring-like shape. If the AAA battery does not fit smoothly, use a file to clean the internal threads or scale up the next print by a small margin. As long as the pen's threads align and the battery makes contact with the positive anode, feel free to customize further for optimal performance. How I Designed This Using my calipers, I estimated that the screw threads are M8X1.0 in Solidworks 2016. Custom Section This modification increases the stylus weight due to the use of a AAA battery instead of a AAAA and its slightly larger size.
