Dell 924 Cartridge Holder Replacement Part
thingiverse
Someone gave me a Dell 924 a few years ago, and I recently tried it out. It immediately started overheating, causing it to burn up. Upon further inspection, I discovered that both clips had cracked from fatigue due to heavy use. The previous owner's careless decision to smash the printer instead of troubleshooting the issue led to unnecessary damage. This part is designed for Dell branded printers and might fit other models as well. It was my first spare part created in OpenSCAD, and so far, it has been working smoothly. I'm sharing it now just in case anyone still uses this printer and wants to avoid a similar incident where the cartridge catches fire and fills the scanner bed with smoke residue. If you're printing in a commercial environment, this part is suitable for use. Print settings are as follows: - 205°C filament temperature - 60°C heated bed temperature - Layer thickness: 0.2 mil - Number of solid layers: 3 - Number of perimeters: 3 - Infill percentage: 0%
