Deliverer tip holder (customizable)
prusaprinters
Deliverers be it for food or goods are one of the people who keep our society during the covid-19 pandemic up running. We are in need for their services more than ever. In most countries they are currently advised to place deliveries in front of the door, not waiting for the door to be opened. This way they can keep themselves and everyone they encounter a bit safer. This does however badly reflect on their income in terms of missing tips. This is why I have designed a tip holder. You can simply attach it aside of your door or door bell with double sided adhesive tape. I have also created a version with holes for screws, just in case you would like a more stable installation. The coin trays bottom consists of a mesh with many small sink holes. This way the whole piece and its content can be disinfected more easily. The design is modeled in OpenSCAD and it is fully customizable. All sizes, texts and different and features can be altered. I have attached several files for different languages. If your language is missing you can either edit the scad file or better just leave a comment and I will add it for everyone. Same goes if you need help customizing it or if you have ideas for improvement. Here is a list of the files currently included: main.scad the OpenSCAD file no_holes_no_text.3mf a plain holder without any text or mounting holes with_holes_no_text.3mf same but but with mounting holes If your printer supports multiple materials you can easily split the object into parts in PrusaSlicer. I have simply colored the text with a permanent marker. You could also use one to write a custom text on the clip. All other files follow the no_holes/with_holes scheme followed by the text printed on it: Czech: Děkuji! English: Thanks! German: Danke! Have fun, be safe and happy printing! Print instructionsPrint the model as is (laying on the side) without supports. Use your usual print settings. I have used a brim, 0.2mm layer height and 30% infill. Any other settings should work as well. Depending on your printers precision, printing speed and whether you are using linear advance the clip might be fused a bit to the base plate. In this case it should be easily separatable it with a knife. Optionally you can also edit the CLIP_CLEARANCE to give it a bit more space. I decided not to raise the clearance any further, because it was still easy enough to split them apart and higher clearance will reduce the snug the clip has on money being held.
