Delidder.Turbo² - Intel CPU delidding tool (& v1)
thingiverse
UPDATE! Introducing the Delidder.Turbo², with twice the turbos that guarantee success! This upgraded tool features a backwards compatible worker/clamping mech that fits Dawnaur's original Delid tool perfectly. With double the number of turbos, you can print the body faster and enjoy a simpler solid worker/clamping tool to delid and reassemble your CPU's, making the job quicker and easier than ever. Thanks to Dawnaur for the CPU Delid tool! 771/775/1150/1151/1155/1156. VERSION 2 The wait is over! This may be my Delidder's final form, but we'll have to wait until the next episode to confirm. Version 2 brings a much simpler design to the table that makes it easier to print and use. The new worker/clamp features a top-mount universal coin slot measuring 2mm x 32mm. Thanks to Chris (AKA gamertaboo) for being my beta tester and giving me the idea for v2. VERSION 1 I wanted the ability to clamp down the IHS for reassembly and re-silicone of the IHS back to its rightful protective place over the DIE. So, I remixed and created what I like to call the Delidder.Turbo! (Thanks Dilbert) The core mechanism is still Dawnaur's reliable build, tested many times. (I had to modify the worker height to fit into my model as well.) All I did was add a strong clamp area for the IHS reassembly. Similar parts to Dawnaur's original Main worker: 1x M8 Bolt, 40mm + 1x M8 Nut Clamping/Reassemby: 1x M8 Bolt, 30mm + 1x M8 Nut A few spare coins (Finally find a use for my loose change!): 1x Small one for Main Worker body (Universal coin slot 2mm x 32mm) 1x Larger one for in between IHS and the M8 bolt during clamping/reassembly. Keep in mind when clamping the IHS back on that this is a hefty M8 bolt, do not over tighten and damage the DIE. We want to achieve a pressure similar to what the CPU will have locked down in its socket on the motherboard. CHANGE LOG: 9th Dec 2017: Released Delidder.Turbo², with a backwards compatible worker/clamping mech that fits Dawnaurs original as well! 8th Dec 2017: Created second worker model with a 22mm x 2mm coin slot, that will fit 'real' coins such as an American Penny or Dime. Added: "Delidder.TurboV1-WorkersSmallerTOPMountCoin22mmMERICAX" 7th Dec 2017: Remade the Worker model to be slightly smaller height & top mount coin slot so that it can slide in from end and coin can be fitted after. Replaced model with "Delidder.TurboV1-WorkersSmallerTOPMountCoinX.stl" Testers are needed, and feedback is always welcome. Let's learn together!
