Ready for AR/VR and game with animation. Deinocheirus, a massive ornithomimosaur, roamed Earth during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago. The first discovery of this dinosaur's remains was made in 1965 in Mongolia's Nemegt Formation. A pair of enormous arms, shoulder blades, and other bones were found, marking the beginning of a new species within the genus Deinocheirus mirificus. The name "Deinocheirus" is derived from Greek words meaning "horrible hand." For nearly five decades, no further remains were discovered, leaving its nature shrouded in mystery. In 2014, two complete specimens were described, providing a wealth of information about this mysterious creature. Some parts of these new finds had been illicitly removed from Mongolia years earlier but were returned in 2014.
