Dehumidifier stand

Dehumidifier stand

thingiverse

I store one of those compact plug-in-to-recharge dehumidifiers inside my filament storage box and another in the active filament chamber above my 3D printer. My filament chamber, a clear plastic box above my printer, doesn't have much space for the dehumidifier unless I stand it on its edge. To solve this issue, I designed a snap-on stand to hold the dehumidifier upright, which takes up less room in the filament chamber and also makes it easier to see the moisture level indicator. This stand holds firmly while being easy to snap on and off for plug-in recharging. I've used it successfully with an Easy Home model EH-300 and an Eva-Dry model E333, which seem to be the same device marketed as two different products - or at least sharing the same case. Although it might have been analytical overkill, this project was a chance to mathematically calculate the radii of the curves of the existing product so I could get a really nice fit for the accessory.
