The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a renowned single-engine aircraft with high-wing and propeller-driven features. Developed by de Havilland Canada, it's widely used as a bush plane for cargo and passenger transportation, aerial application, and utility purposes in armed forces. The US Army has purchased numerous DHC-2s, while nine are still operational with the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue missions. In fact, a Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver assisted Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole expedition. Produced until 1967, over 1,600 Beavers were crafted before the original production line closed down.
