The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a single-engine, high-wing aircraft with propeller drive and STOL capabilities. Primarily used as a bush plane for cargo and passenger transport, it also serves in aerial application and has been widely adopted by armed forces for utility purposes. The US Army bought numerous units, while nine DHC-2s are still in service with the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue operations. A Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver was part of Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole expedition. Production ceased in 1967 after over 1,600 Beavers were manufactured. This detailed, fully-textured model includes animateable features like ailerons, elevators, rudder, pontoon rudders, flaps, and propeller, with amphibian landing gear that can be retracted. Developed in 2014, it's one of our latest models available in various formats.
