The DHC-8-100 model is intricately designed to closely resemble its real-life counterpart, featuring full texture and detailed elements for enhanced animation. It comes with moveable components such as landing gear, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and landing gear doors. Available in 11 different formats, this model was derived from the DHC-7 series, known for its short takeoff and landing capabilities. The Dash 8 is a twin-engine turbo-prop regional aircraft designed for short to medium haul routes, accommodating up to 39 passengers in the 100 series. Emphasizing cruise and economy performance, it has become popular among small to medium-sized carriers and airlines. Over 1,000 units have been ordered, with Bombardier anticipating sales to reach approximately 1,200 by 2016. Production on the 100 series ceased in 2005; however, the 200, 300, and 400 series continue to be produced. There are plans for a possible stretched version (500 or 600) of the 400 model in the near future. De Havilland sold the Dash 8 production and licensing rights to Bombardier.
