The DHC-8-100 model is an accurate representation of a real aircraft's dimensions, featuring full texture and detailed design. The Dash 8 was developed from the Dash 7 series, focusing on short takeoff and landing performance. It's a twin-engine turbo-prop airliner ideal for regional short to medium haul routes, seating up to 39 passengers in the 100 series. Bombardier acquired production rights for the Dash 8 from De Havilland and continues to produce the 200, 300, and 400 series with plans to sell over 1200 units by 2016. The 100 series was discontinued in 2005, but there's consideration for a stretched version of the 400 series in the near future.
