It was developed by de Havilland Canada for diverse purposes, including cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application, and utility use by armed forces. The US Army acquired hundreds of DHC-2s, with nine still in service today via the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue operations. A Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver was even part of Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole expedition. Production ran from 1948 to 1967, yielding over 1,600 aircraft models. The medium poly model of this historic plane is a detailed replica with animatable features and retractable landing gear. Built in 2014, it's one of our latest models available in a dozen formats.
