The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a renowned single-engine bush plane, recognized for its high-wing and STOL capabilities. Initially developed by de Havilland Canada, it serves various purposes such as cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application, and utility missions for armed forces. The US Army procured numerous DHC-2s, with nine still operational today in the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue tasks. Remarkably, a Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver supported Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole expedition. Over 1,600 Beavers were manufactured until 1967 when production ceased. A meticulously detailed 3D model of the aircraft includes animatable features, retractable landing gear and is available in multiple formats dating from 2014.
