The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a single-engine high-wing aircraft with STOL capabilities, initially developed by de Havilland Canada for use as a bush plane. Primarily employed for cargo and passenger transport, as well as aerial application, it has also been adopted widely by military forces as a utility aircraft. The US Army acquired several hundred Beavers, with nine still in service today with the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue missions. A Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver even supported Sir Edmund Hillary's expedition to the South Pole. In total, over 1,600 Beavers were produced until 1967 when the original production line shut down. This meticulously crafted model features a medium poly design with detailed engine and exterior work, animateable parts like flaps and rudders, retractable landing gear, and textured detailing inside the cabin and cockpit. Created in 2014, this is one of our latest models available in multiple formats.
