The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a renowned bush plane with single-engine, high-wing, propeller-driven capabilities, designed by de Havilland Canada for diverse purposes such as cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application, and utility roles in armed forces. Built to scale, this medium poly model boasts impressive detail in its engine and exterior, featuring animateable controls like ailerons, elevators, rudder, pontoon rudders, flaps, and propeller. The landing gear is retractable, and the cabin/cockpit interior carries a fair amount of detail. Constructed in 2014, this model is available in over a dozen formats. Notably, the US Army has purchased several hundred for search and rescue purposes with the Civil Air Patrol, while a Royal New Zealand Air Force Beaver supported Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole expedition. Production of over 1,600 Beavers ceased in 1967 upon the closure of the original line.
