The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a renowned bush plane with a single engine and high wing design. It was developed by de Havilland Canada for various purposes, including cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application, and utility work by armed forces. The US Army acquired numerous units, while nine still serve with the Civil Air Patrol for search and rescue tasks. Remarkably, a Beaver supported Sir Edmund Hillary's South Pole expedition. Manufactured until 1967, over 1,600 Beavers were produced, with a highly detailed model available in multiple formats from 2014, featuring animateable features and retractable landing gear.
